Voluntary Pre-K (VPK)

Our program focuses and builds on language, math, science, and social skills in a natural sequence that promotes learning, and is suited to your child's unique needs. Your little one will explore the world through play, movement, and other outlets that will teach key skills needed for future success in learning.

Voluntary Pre-K (VPK)

As your child begins to gain independence while getting ready for the transition to kindergarten, we provide them with a more structured environment. Our primary goal is to help your child develop a love for learning, and to prepare them for future educational success. Our reading and math lessons include, but are not limited to:

  • Pre-k sight words
  • Word building 
  • Handwriting
  • Simple addition/subtraction
  • Creating simple patterns
  • ...and much more

Our program offers enriching learning opportunities in a fun environment for  school-age children. This includes, before-school and after-school care (including homework help), part time/emergency care, school holidays/closings, and summer care for children up to age 12. While TCA does not provide transportation, the local elementary and middle school picks up and drops off near our center.

Before and After School

School Readiness Services, also known as Subsidized Childcare, is available in Clay, Nassau, Baker, Bradford, Putnam and St. Johns counties through Episcopal Children’s Services. Families must qualify for these services. Due to the high volume of families in need, it is important that you apply as soon as possible if you wish to receive these services.
